An AI parlay generator takes constraints — how many legs, what wager, which leagues, how much variance you will accept — and assembles a ticket from a board of candidate selections it has already scored. The useful question is not whether it uses AI. It is what it scored the board on, and whether it will show you.
It searches a board that was scored before you asked. Every candidate leg carries a hit rate measured from official box scores, the number of games behind that rate, and a comparison between the measured rate and the probability the current price implies. The search is deterministic code over that board: given the same board and the same constraints, it returns the same ticket.
That is a deliberately unglamorous description and it is the accurate one. The parts that decide which legs you get are retrieval and arithmetic, not a language model improvising. A generator that cannot tell you what it optimised is not a research tool, it is a slot machine with a chat window.
It cannot know whether your ticket will win, and it does not claim a figure for that. The combined probability on a card is leg probabilities multiplied, which assumes independence — true enough across games, false inside one, and labelled either way.
